Campus Crusade for Christ one of the dynamic Christian Movements of the twentieth (20th) century and enters the new millennium as a leading voice for evangelism in the world today. Campus Crusade for Christ is an interdenominational Chrisitan organization, focusing on evangelism and discipleship in over 190 countries around the world. Its stated mission is "to win people for Christ, build them in their faith, and send them out to win, build and send others." Campus Crusade always looked for new and relevant ways to share the good news of Jesus Christ with a world desperately needing to hear.

Campus Crusade for Christ was started in 1951 at the University of California, Los Angeles by Bill Bright as a ministry for college students. Campus Crusade for Christ has since expanded its focus to include adult professionals, families, athletes, high school students and more. The World Headquarters is located in Orlando, Florida and the current president of the organization is Steve Douglass.

The story of Campus Crusade for Christ is the story of Bill and Vonette Bright, who in 1951 signed dedicating their lives to spreading the Gospel. But much more than that, it is the story of thousands who followed them in to the movement, of millions who partnered with them in ministry, of the the billions who have heard of Christ through the work of Campus Crusade and through partnerships with other ministries. What began with two people in 1951 has exploded into more than 191 Counties, over 25000 full-time staff members and more than 550,000 trained volunteers. Who will continue to proclaim Jesus Christ every day.

Campus Crusade for Christ owns worldwide distribution rights for the 1979 film Jesus. They are also the publishers of The Four Spiritual Laws, also known as the "Knowing God Personally Booklet". In many parts of Europe, Campus Crusade is known as Agape Europe. The collegiate ministry is known in some parts of the world as Student Life (Poland, New Zealand and Australia) or LIFE Ministry (southeast Africa).

In 2000 Dr. Bill Bright announced his successor as president of Campus Crusade for Christ, Dr. Steve and Judy Douglass to Carry on the Vision. In 2011, Campus Crusade for Christ in the United States changed its name to Cru, to avoid the negative connotation of "crusade" from the historical Crusades, and to reflect the fact that much of the organization's work was no longer limited to college campuses.
